Bloggers,.. well, we may know a thing or two about coffee — more specifically — coffee shops. You see, when we aren’t shooting outfits and such we are usually propped up on our computer inhaling LOTS of coffee and well, when you can’t work at home the cure is to find the cutest coffee shop to help get you in the mood. Or sometimes, it’s really to escape and take pretty pictures of your coffee art like a blogger naturally would do…
Last week I shared my favorite beaches, so today I’m going to be sharing my top 3 picks for the best coffee shops in San Diego area! I just always get requests of the must go to spots so I thought, why not once in a while round up a few of my favorites for any of you who may be visiting SD sometime soon!?
The coffee, the community, the space and all the small things at James Coffee Co. make it a must visit spot. It is very different from your usual coffee shop. The way I describe it is it resembles a garage/warehouse setting with a lot open space and a couple couches to sit at. They also have some other little shops within the garage setting which is cool as well. One thing I especially love about James Coffee is that it is dog friendly! I go sometimes to get out of my house and do a bit of work and it’s nice to know I can bring my dog if I wanted to. He usually just sleeps next to me while I work. Great place to hang out although parking can be a bit of a pain!
The ambience of Bird Rock Coffee Roasters is awesome – right in the heart of gorgeous Bird Rock, of course! They have giant windows that they leave open all day, I mean – who doesn’t love fresh air and sunshine? There’s a few tables and chairs indoors and a few outside as well but not a ton. Don’t expect to really stay here all day in my opinion. But it is a great spot to grab some tasty coffee, meet a group of friends and enjoy the gorgeous weather close to the beach! Keep in mind – they are not a cafe- but just a coffee shop and known mostly for their coffee which is delish!
Home to the Best Drink Ever. No really, that’s its name. I remember when my friend first got me a coffee from Better Buzz I was instantly in love and kept asking her, “OMG what is this drink called?!” and she would respond, “I know, it’s the best drink ever!” and naturally my response was, “No, really what is it called?!” Could you imagine my frustration? Long story short, you will be hooked! Very strong, sweet and absolutely delicious. It can only be described as “the best dri…”—ya, you get it.
Now, please excuse me — all this talk about coffee has me itching for my morning cup. Hope you enjoy!
