As I spoke about in this post a few months back, my home is one of the places I find the most pride, joy and interest in. Homeownership is stressful, fun, crazy, yet insanely fulfilling. It was a dream of mine for years to become a homeowner. There are challenges when it comes to everything, but it is possible to attain that American Dream regardless of where you are in life.
I’ve always loved partnering and working with IKEA because they genuinely believe that everyone should be able to, no matter what, be able to afford a space that is entirely theirs.
I re-modeled my kitchen (which I spoke about before) and most recently, my bathrooms – pretty much completing my home. It was something I had been wanting to do for SO SO long because I had older cabinets which were not functional and modern enough for my taste. The only problem is, with any kind of big remodel like this, comes a big check to cut so it was a bit scary to say the least. Choosing IKEA for this project was really a no brainer since it really saved me a lot more money in the end and I love how everything they have is designed with functionality in mind.
In the end, looking back on what I have been able to accomplish is extremely humbling. I’ve come a long way and I’ve done it all on my own. It’s so fulfilling to see that I’ve been able to create something and continue to better it myself. Just a little reminder to always go after your dreams and know you can always make the dream YOURS.
