Although sometimes we all are craving a big plate of pancakes topped with whipped cream — that little angel on our shoulder is reminding us that bikini season is right around the corner and well, it might be a more wise decision to start our morning off with a healthier option.
Trust me, you’ll thank me later.
What better start to your morning than a healthy smoothie? And hey, who says it won’t taste like a treat either?!
Lately, I’ve been adding one packet of the Burt’s Bees™ Protein +Healthy Radiance in Vanilla to my morning smoothie. It helps me stay full longer and gives me tons of energy throughout the day. If you guys aren’t familiar with Burt’s Bees Protein, it is a new collection of delicious plant-based protein shakes that allow you to drink-in all the benefits of nature’s most powerful ingredients, so you’ll feel ready to take on each day to the fullest. For me, it’s easy to add it to my regular smoothie and I get extra nutrition I need! Plus, Burt’s Bees Protein Shakes are formulated with 70% organic ingredients and plant-based protein, requiring fewer natural resources for production and having a less harmful impact on nature.
Kind of a win-win right?

Here are some simple tips:
*Make your own smoothie freezer bags: Bag everything up in smoothie batches, so when you are ready you just have to reach into your freezer and pop them in your blender.
*Prep the night before: Put everything into the blender pitcher and pop it in the fridge at night. In the morning, just grab the pitcher out of the blender, add any remaining ingredients and whirl up your breakfast smoothie. Items that will get soggy or brown, like granola, avocado and apples, should be tossed in right before blending.
*Use about to turn produce: Have an avocado that’s about to go bad and you won’t have a chance to use? Put it in a smoothie to add fiber and omega-3s—and to minimize kitchen waste. Ditto with browning bananas.
*Make big batches: Have some mason jars and produce to spare? Make big batches of smoothies ahead of time and freeze them—simply thaw out in the fridge the night before.
