Over the past few years life has changed drastically for me. I purchased a condo, made a big career change leaving the world of accounting – (which BTW was what I THOUGHT I wanted to do with my life), went back to school to become an Eshtetician, got a boyfriend, lost a boyfriend, started a blog and achieved career goals I thought might never come true to be honest.
Life is a tight rope walk for most of us. It’s always about balance (which trust me, is something I’m trying to teach myself everyday). It’s about maintaining the right speed to reach where you need be and applies to both our work and personal lives. With that being said, today is all about setting goals for yourself. It’s important to not only set short term goals for yourself but also long term goals. Both of these help to get you to the next steps to where you want to be in life.
Some of my own goals include taking a step back and literally breathing. My parents always tell me I’m always so stressed and well, they are right. I am always stressing, thinking, working or worrying. It’s time I take some time and just breathe. Literally take a day and sit on my couch and do NOTHING. I don’t even remember the last time I did this. My weeks lately are just filled with work, work and more work and I think it’s ok because I love what I do but at the end of the day its really not. With anything it’s all about finding a balance and everything in moderation.
Clinique started the #FaceForward campaign to showcase the spirit of individual accomplishment and celebrate the journey along the way to success to spark a dialogue with confident and motivated millenials, and I’d love for you to get involved in this movement! So tell me, what promises are you making to yourself to put your best #FaceForward and what goals do you have set? You can discuss anything you’d like – career goals, fitness plans, beauty regimens, and anything/everything that can lead to a better YOU!
