As much as I want to tell you guys I am always dressed up and ready to impress, my typical days actually look a whole lot like.. this. Why am I even sharing this? Well one, lounging in comfies is probably my favorite activity and two, I thought it was important to show that instagram life is not real life.
I’ll be honest, the past couple weeks I’ve been having a REAL tough time with life, my stress level and have just found I haven’t at all been kind to myself. I’ve been scrolling through the “gram” and comparing myself to everyone and everything. I honestly think it’s a sickness that we all need to stop but gosh darn it, sometimes it’s just SO hard.
I’ve found that it’s important to be kind to yourself, happy with who you are and proud of your accomplishments. To be honest, there’s always going to be someone doing “more” but that’s just the world we live in and well,.. that’s OK.
In some ways, I do kind of miss the days when we weren’t so focused on our phones and apps and what we want our photos reflect but then again, I wouldn’t be where I was today without it. I guess it’s been just one of those days/weeks when things just seem extra hard.
So here’s a little reminder…
I want to remind you all to be perpetually kind to yourself. Be loving, be friendly. Give yourself leeway to make mistakes & do not dwell on them. Remind yourself of your power over your thoughts & take advantage of that. You do not (& should not) have to listen to the endless cycle of negative thoughts that goes on inside of your head. You are blessed to have this life and it’s time to cherish it.
Love, Olia

This is an important message Olia. With social media reigning king, I feel like life is lived through a screen. It’s hard to define what’s real and what’s not anymore. Thanks for the reminder to stop and smell the roses and to look up and notice the life that we have.
