Summertime not only means means beach/pool days, warm weather, gorgeous tans but it also means delicious refreshing cocktails, don’t you think?! One of my favorite things to do in the summer is to sit in my back patio or by the pool with a nice cold and refreshing cocktail. Plus, it doesn’t hurt if the drink is instagram worthy too, right?
Just sayin…
This year I can’t help but gravitate towards an Aperol Spritz. So much so that I had to start making them for myself. If you are not familiar with an Aperol Spritz it’s an amazing yet simple drink made of Aperol, Sparkling Wine and sparkling water. What I love about it is it’s low alcohol, which makes it perfect for sipping on those extra hot days while still getting you feeling a little well,.. happy.
Be prepared to thank me by the end of this.
Aperol Spritz
you will need:
*Prosecco
*Aperol
*Soda water
*Orange Slices (optional)
Alright now lets get down to the super easy steps. I promise guys, if I can do it, anyone can.
Instructions:
1-Fill a glass with ice.
2-Pour in Prosecco and then Aperol in a 50:50 ratio. Pouring the Prosecco first ensures the Aperol doesn’t settle at the bottom of the glass and distributes evenly throughout the drink.
3-Top with a splash of soda water, add a slice of orange.
4-Mix Lightly and Voila!
Do you guys have a favorite cocktail? If so let me know in the comments below, I’d love to hear!!
Big thanks to Aperol for sponsoring this post.
