If you guys didn’t know, Oxygen Therapy is all the rage right now. I’ve been seeing it everywhere from magazines, social media and word of mouth. As an Esthetician, I’ve been really curious about it because naturally I love anything that can contribute to the health/wellness of not only your skin but also your body. When I got a chance to try out the Oxygen Beauty Spa I knew I had to jump on it.
For those of you who don’t know Oxygen Therapy it’s a treatment that can be done on your skin (these days super popular) which basically helps rejuvenate dull, aging skin and fine lines/wrinkles. Why is that? Because a lot of the time aging skin is actually lacking oxygen!
Oxygen gets your skin breathing again. And when your skin is breathing everything thereafter brings even more exceptional results, because oxygen opens your pores all the way down through the layers.
The Oxygen Beauty Spa is a self-contained, eco-friendly, soaking experience that gives you a peaceful spa beauty treatment right at home. And it does it all with the natural soothing benefits of oxygen therapy and water in just 20 minutes a day. I was so curious about this that when the Oxygen Beauty team was in San Diego I had to go try it out for myself and see what it’s all about.
The spa itself kind of resembles a bathtub that you might have at home so it’s definitely NOT intimidating. I entered the spa and it was about 103 degrees (as you can see from the images). I swear it sounds a lot hotter than it actually is. You basically get in, sit back relax and escape for a bit. We then turned on the oxygen cloud spa treatment (just a button you press) which generated millions of micro bubbles to create an oxygen cloud around the skin. It’s hard to explain it unless you try it for yourself but it’s not like you feel anything in particular, just the water becomes more of a soft milky consistency. These bubbles enter your pores and bond to impurities gently lifting them away (hallelujah!).
Once I finished the spa treatment, I got out and instantly felt completely hydrated, my skin felt tighter and I felt incredibly relaxed! One other thing – every time I take a shower/bath I always come out with my skin feeling super dry and itchy. When I got out of this spa it felt as though I had a light layer of lotion on because my skin was so smooth and hydrated! It was so awesome!
