1. Create your bucket list.
A bucket list is a starting point for you to list all the joyful, exciting, and interesting things you want to experience and achieve in your life. It doesn’t matter if no one wants to share your adventure. Remember, it’s ok to do things alone too! I love crossing things off my bucket list even if it means I’m going at it alone. And listen – I’m not talking crazy adventures – this is YOUR bucket list so as long as it’s something that peaks YOUR interest and YOU want to do it – that’s all that matters.
2. Look at the glass as half full – not half empty.
IHow you perceive things and a positive attitude goes a long way towards living a fulfilled life. We filter everything and everyone through our perceptions. And our perceptions are formed by our personal experiences, beliefs, interpretations and expectations about others and ourselves. I wake up everyday and (honestly) say to the universe “thank you” because I know how blessed I am in this world right now. We all are – you just have to find it.
3. Visualize your future.
Imagine what you want your life to be like one year from now, three years from now and five years from now. Put your vision on paper. Develop a plan of action to get you where you want to be. A couple years ago I wanted to have a blog SO badly so I did it. It may not have been the best blog out there (and probably still isn’t) but I did it. Then, I visualized it in one and two years and told myself that in a couple years I wanted my blog to be successful and I wanted to try to make a career out of it. Guess what? Two years later – here I am. Trust me – it works!
4. Get out of your comfort zone & indulge a little.
If you’re stuck in a predictable routine or comfort zones, stretch yourself to try new things. Take a class, travel, rearrange your surroundings, get rid of clutter or volunteer. Another thing – indulge in life, food, sweets! What is life for if not for those sweet indulgences?! Okay, I’m not saying go overboard but live a little! I’ll let you guys in on a secret – I always indulge BUT I opt for Skinny Cow treats – in particular, the Skinny Cow Divine Filled Chocolates. Plus, I usually pair it with a coffee for a mid day pick me up. It gets me going, without all the guilt. There’s nothing wrong with treating yourself ladies!
5. Let go.
There are two ways I look at letting go. One is getting rid of tangible things that are no longer useful or serve a purpose (my closet is currently going through a major overhaul). And, the other is letting go of the mental clutter like limiting beliefs that prevent you from living the life you deserve and want. Whenever you’re surrounded by clutter – mental or physical – your ability to move forward and make meaningful change is severely limited. Do yourself a favor and try to let go of all that extra baggage.
BTW- I recently attended a Skinny Cow event with some bloggers and got to hang out with Sofia Vergara and wanted to share the photo with you guys!
