I always get questions on how I curl my hair and although there isn’t too much of a method to it, I thought I’d do a little tutorial for you guys! This is how I curl my hair for everyday wear. I typically don’t like tight curls and I like for the look to be effortless and sort of “undone” done, if that makes sense! I also like adding a lot of texture with product as well. Here goes nothin:
STEP 1: Make sure hair is free of any tangles. Brush carefully.
STEP 2: Grab about a 1-2″ section of hair.
STEP 3: Wrap hair around curling iron and I always place the iron horizontally instead of vertically. I feel like this helps give me my hair more waves as opposed to ringlet curls. I also prefer to use a clip less curling iron for the most part.
STEP 4: When releasing the curl I hold onto it for about 10 seconds to allow it to cool a bit. This helps keep the curl from falling out.
STEP 5: Repeat this process to the rest of your hair. Note: I actually don’t separate my hair into sections like some people do to curl it for everyday. I like for the curls to not be perfect so typically just start on one side and make my way to the other side to finish.
STEP 6: I love adding texture to my hair after with either a texturizing spray or dry shampoo. This also helps keep me curls in tact and add a bit more volume to my fine hair.
STEP 7: Lastly, I just run my hands through my curls to break them apart and loosen up the look a bit.
