If you’ve read any of my other posts on skin you know sleeping with any kind of makeup on is a cardinal sin. Our skin is the most exposed part of our body, more so our faces. On a daily basis we are victims of our environment, absorbing the pollutants and UV rays that combine to damage tissues of our skin.
My favorite? Algotherm Eye Makeup Remover available at Martine’s Skin Care (we ship the products if you need). This lotion effectively and easily removes all types of make-up even waterproof. It’s absolutely tear free (which I love) and brings softness and cleanness to the skin. Its advantages: Silicone free, non greasy and formulated for sensitive eyes. Love this because it doesn’t irritate or burn my eyes at ALL and removes every last bit of eye makeup.
My Directions For Removing Stubborn Eye Makeup
1. With the eye closed you’ll want to gently apply the cotton ball with makeup remover to the eye area. Allow it to rest there for a moment to soften the makeup.
2. Gently wipe from the inside corner of the eyelid to the outside corner of the lid. Underneath the eye you will reverse the process, going from the outside corner to the inside corner. Be careful not to pull the skin as it is very thin, use gentle strokes only. I also like to gently sweep upward along the front of the top eyelashes to get rid of any excess mascara.
3. Apply your favorite eye cream. (Mine: Dr. Grandel Contour Balm)
If there is one thing a woman likes to have, it’s a youthful face. Overnight make-up dulls and ages the face. So, for your sake, fight the laziness or tiredness and spare a quick minute to do your face right.
